Just 800m from the sandy beaches Benagil and Praia do Carvalho and just minutes from other, larger beaches such as Praia da Marinha and Praia Centeanes in Carvoeiro, the lovely fishing village with many restaurants, shops, and cafés. In Benagil, at a 4 minutes drive, there are several restaurants to serve you a wonderful dinner, chicken Piri-Piri, cataplana, or a wide choice of fish. Pets allowed.

The Algarve Villa Maria is only 45 minutes away from Faro airport, is centrally located and the nearest golf course (par 3 and 9 holes) is located a 2 minutes drive away and the Gramacho and Pestana golf courses are reached in about 8 minutes more. For the kids there’s plenty of entertainment in the immediate vicinity; boat trips along with the Algarve caves, water park Slide & Splash in Estombar, and Alcantarilha, Zoo-Marine in Guia, where also the Crazy World minigolf and go-kart track is found. Zomervakantie 2020 in Vila Maria
Wij zijn inmiddels weer thuis. Ik wilde nog even laten weten dat wij een heerlijke week in Vila Maria doorgebracht hebben. Wat een geweldige rust en wat een luxe om in de tuin te zitten en te kunnen kiezen tussen de fijne zitjes en terrasjes.
We hebben de botanische tuin bewonderd en alle namen van de palmen gelezen. Bijzonder hoor. Uiteraard hebben we genoten van het zwembad. Het huis was ook heel fijn om in te leven. Ik vond ook het uitzicht vanaf de houten tafel heerlijk rustgevend.
Waar ik nog aan dacht is om misschien in de tekst op te nemen dat het pad naar het huis smal is.
