Algarve Holiday Villa “Algarve Vila Maria ” in Carvoeiro-Benagil is a detached villa in the Algarve with private pol and sleeps 2-6 people with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a separate toilet, a large living room with air-conditioning and dining area. And sliding doors leading to a large terrace to the 7×5 meters pool with an outdoor shower. Bedroom 1 is the master bedroom with en-suite. Bedroom 2 has two single beds, wardrobe, ceiling fan heating panels, air-conditioning and a small balcony. The Bedroom 3 has a large sofa bed for 2 people. These two bedrooms share a modern bathroom with a toilet, shower, and double bathroom sink.

Is Vila Maria in the Algarve suitable for families with children?

Yes. Algarve Vila Maria is a child-friendly holiday villa in the Algarve, ideal for families with children. The detached villa has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a separate toilet and a large private garden with a 7 × 5 metre private swimming pool. The master bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet, washbasin and small bath.

Children can enjoy the large private pool, spacious garden and terraces, while parents can relax knowing that the villa is exclusively for their family. The beaches of Praia de Benagil and Praia do Carvalho are about a 15-minute walk away.

Please note: because Vila Maria has a private swimming pool, young children should always be supervised around the pool.

Can I Book Algarve Vila Maria directly with the private Dutch owner, without the involvement of large portals and therefore without additional commissions or costs?

The villa is very private and quiet yet not isolated and can be reached by a country road just 300m away from the road to Benagil and Carvoeiro. Just 800m from the sandy beaches Benagil and Praia do Carvalho and just minutes from other, larger beaches such as Praia da Marinha and Praia Centeanes in Carvoeiro, the lovely fishing village with many restaurants, shops, and cafés. In Benagil, at a 4 minutes drive, there are several restaurants to serve you a wonderful dinner, chicken Piri-Piri, cataplana, or a wide choice of fish. Pets allowed.

The Algarve Villa Maria is only 45 minutes away from Faro airport, is centrally located and the nearest golf course (par 3 and 9 holes) is located a 2 minutes drive away and the Gramacho and Pestana golf courses are reached in about 8 minutes more. For the kids there’s plenty of entertainment in the immediate vicinity; boat trips along with the Algarve caves, water park Slide & Splash in Estombar, and Alcantarilha, Zoo-Marine in Guia, where also the Crazy World minigolf and go-kart track is found. The house book in the villa offers many other suggestions.

Wonderful Stay at Vila Maria - Fantastic Villa in gorgeous surroundings

We have just returned from a fantastic 10-day stay at Vila Maria and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The villa is beautiful, exceptionally well-equipped, and has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday – and more.

The outdoor space is a real highlight, with a lovely swimming pool, superb gardens, and plenty of areas to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The villa is clearly very well maintained and offers the perfect balance of comfort, privacy, and relaxation.

A special mention must go to Frits, who was an excellent host. Communication was fantastic from start to finish, and he was always helpful and responsive whenever we had any questions, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.

While we would recommend having a car to make the most of the surrounding area, the villa is still conveniently located close to some lovely local villages. We also found it incredibly easy to get Ubers, and at very reasonable rates too.

Overall, we had a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend Vila Maria to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and well-appointed getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to visit again. Highly recommended!

Traumhafter Familienurlaub in der Vila Maria – Absolut empfehlenswert!

Wir haben als 4-köpfige Familie mit zwei Teenagern und unserem Hund eine fantastische Woche in der Vila Maria verbracht.

Das Haus hat uns von der ersten Minute an begeistert. Die Lage ist fantastisch: Man ist schnell an den vielen wunderschönen Buchten oder im lebhaften Ortszentrum von Carvoeiro und hat dennoch einen privaten Rückzugsort, an dem man sich sofort zu Hause fühlt. Besonders für uns als Hundebesitzer war es toll, dass unser Vierbeiner hier genauso willkommen war wie wir.

Die Anzahl der Räume war perfekt für uns und die Teenager, sodass jeder seinen Freiraum hatte. Zwar ist eins der Schlafzimmer ein Durchgangszimmer in das “Elternschlafzimmer” mit eigenem Bad, was uns jedoch nicht gestört hat, da dieses Zimmer einen eigenen Ausgang nach draußen hat.

Die Villa ist top gepflegt, super ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Wir haben die Zeit am Pool und die gemütlichen Abende auf der Terrasse sehr genossen.

Ein riesiges Plus ist die üppige Küchenausstattung. Es ist wirklich alles da, was man für die Selbstversorgung einer Familie braucht: Von der Spülmaschine und Mikrowelle über Kaffeemaschine und Wasserkocher bis hin zu vielen Extras.

Ein ganz besonderes Dankeschön gilt dem Vermieter: Der Kontakt war von Anfang an unglaublich freundlich, herzlich und unkompliziert. Man merkt, dass dem Gastgeber das Wohl seiner Gäste wirklich am Herzen liegt.

Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft – wir kommen definitiv gerne wieder.

Topverblijf in de Algarve

Wij waren er in de eerste week van oktober. Geweldig mooi huis op schitterende lokatie. Werkelijk niets ontbrak. Rustig gelegen en toch dicht bij de bewoonde wereld. Heel goed onderhouden, leuk zwembad, prachtige tuin, kortom een echte aanrader.

Amazing Trip, Superb outdoors space 🙂

Myself and my family had an amazing 2 weeks at Frits’s Villa in August 2025.

The outside space and pool are beautiful.

The location of the Villa is super convenient with the supermarket and nearest tourist town of Carvoeiro less than 10mins away by car.

Benagil and the beach is only 5 mins away.

A car is essential unless you plan on never leaving the Villa!

Frits communicated pre and during the holiday fantastically. His housekeeper was amazing and also communicated to let us know that she was coming.

I can’t fault a thing about the Villa.

If we go back to the Algarve I wouldn’t hesitate about staying here again.

Alles klopt gewoon.

Nooit eerder in zo ‘n fijne woning een vakantie doorgebracht. De villa ligt in de natuur en toch niet ver van de bewoonde wereld. Het geheel is zorgvuldig onderhouden. En aan alles is gedacht.
